Someone learning to read!

How fascinating it is to watch Hope learn how to read. She loves it! She sounded out PET the other day all on her own. It's amazing to watch the understanding in her eyes and see her imagine the possibilities of having this knowledge!

We had a great Christmas. We spread the gifts out over a few days so they would not be overwhelmed. Worked out quite nicely. The best gifts were the Jump-o-lene (Yes, that's a word) which a glorified air matress, 6ft across and has 3 foot walls. Now we can get them off the bed and onto the Jump-o-lene!

Hope's gift was a Dollhouse bookcase that Jennifer and I painted. She's up there every day with her Barbie's playing house. I asked her if she wanted to spend a couple more hours at school everyday. She said that now that she has the Dollhouse she just wants to come home at Noon and play. So much for the thrill of knowledge!
